Banner Desert Medical Center & Cardon Children’s Medical Center
This position would be a temporary 3 month contract for Banner Desert Medical Center and Cardon Children’s Medical Center. It would a full-time medical music therapist position providing coverage for two music therapists on FMLA. The position would be split with the pediatric population and the other half with the adult population. The time frame would be from approximately April 2nd, 2012 to June 29th, 2012 – give or a take a week or two – depending on when babies decide to arrive.
Populations served – adult and pediatric oncology, pediatric and adult general medical/surgical, some NICU
Qualifications:
- MT-BC required
- Previous hospital/medical experience required
- At least 2 to 3 years music therapy practice experience
- Experienced with children and adult therapeutic interactions
- NICU experience a major +

Higher Octave Healing, Inc.
Position opening: Primarily clinic-based with some home-based possible. As well as providing community-based services in the Phoenix Metro area, we are affiliated with Arizona State University and provide services at the Arizona State University music therapy clinic in Tempe with the unique opportunity to work closely with ASU MT students.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Provide community-based and clinic-based ongoing 1:1 and group therapy to a variety of clientele (primarily individuals with developmental disabilities ages 12 months – 22 years.)
- Conduct evaluations and provide parent training/in-home programming.
- Consult with team members including other therapists and case managers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Board Certification
- Experience writing goals and implementing evidenced-based interventions
- Experience in pediatrics preferred
- Experience in a community setting preferred
- Ability to work independently
